The processional Hymn was from I.O.M 568 (DSB pg 102) while sis. Nifemi Akintomide led the praise and worship session.

The Sermon was taken by the Ven. Olasunkanmi Afolabi. He encouraged all to put their trust in God as he is our shield, refuge, and strength. He prayed that our faith will not go weary nor diminish.

The preachers said being alive this morning and being in the presence of God is by deliberate grace and love of God Deuteronomy 7:7-9 (Easy to Read). That we have been chosen to be alive not because of our good work nor because we know how to do better than our colleagues but by his mercy. Considering the conditions for the salvation of our soul, no one qualifies for His grace for all have sinned and have fall short of the glory of God (Rom. 3:23). Also, our righteousness is like a filthy rag (Issaih 65:8). He said no one can boast that all he or she has acquired is all by himself, rather it is by God’s grace.

“Everything you have achieved is by God’s grace” -Eph. 2:8-9.

Israel was chosen by God not because they were large, but by the grace of God. (Deut. 7:7-9) For Israel’s sake, God destroyed 7 powerful nations and gave them to Israel.
